Moore Family Reunion

Well this post is long overdue but it's here. In August Matt and I went to the Moore family reunion. Matt's Grandpa and Grandma Moore and they're children etc. Unfortunately we could only stay 2 days out of the week but it was fun. I think almost the whole family was there so I got to meet everyone.
Here is the lodge where we stayed and first let me say that people hold girl's camp here.... Is anyone else completely jealous of the girls who get to stay here?? I went to cow pie country and slept in a tent with a biff (a.k.a. outhouse, I feel the term biff is being lost so I must use it whenever I can) 10 feet away! Ok, I'm done. It was great though, next time the Ravstens want to have a family reunion we should totally do it here! And I filled my exercise quota for the next 2 years going up those stairs multiple times a day. Hehe.

Oh and I really liked going camping in Big Meadow but I have to make a point.
This is my triumphant expression after having pwned Matt at tetherball. Just kidding we were both terrible and cheated a lot but it was fun. I think I assumed my 3rd grade skill would still serve me after 16 years ... like riding a bike right?
Here are the masterminds of it all. Andrew and Erica. They organized all the games and I think the whole reunion. It was great. Let's see, there was capture the flag, a family trivia portion (which we were awesome at because we had Grandpa Moore with us), slingshots and an eating competition. See the photos below.
The contestants getting ready to down the vienna sausages. Can you see the alert posture and determined gleam in Grandma Moore's eye? Yes, that's why no one else even came close to winning. Haha!
Next round! First look at the awful food waiting to be eaten.... Sardines!
Taking a big, contest-winning bite...
...and spitting it all back out.
I can't say any more about how repulsive this is. .... No, I can't say enough about how repulsive this is. Apparently the even the cracker was disgusting.
Unfortunately, my team, the Yellow Volvos (christened after the yellow family volvo) was last. But that's ok. We still got candy and everyone had to suffer through the disgusting food so it's all good.
Everyone! It took about 15 minutes to get two pictures of everyone together so I think we were all going a little crazy at this point and getting tired of standing on those seats. I know you can't see everyone too well, but we have pictures of individual families. I'm going to wait to put them up though so I can get help naming people.... Ok, ok, I still don't remember everyone's names but I did a lot better this time! I'm proud of myself. Haha.
Me, Matt, Grandpa and Grandma Moore.

I went to Camp Darby for girls camp and that camp has 2 big slides like that and about a dozen cabins. It was fun and someone always waxed the slides so you would fly off of it. Looks like a fun reunion.
