OK, so here are a few pictures of Matt and I at the Getty Museum in LA. I remembered going there with Mom and Dad a few times so we visited while we were there. I think it's a really cool place. I was jealous because there was a sketching gallery in one of the buildings and they have workshops and of course cool art!

Well this is the only picture of both of us while we were there. The Getty Museum is on a hill north of LA so to the right is the floating shrubbery (see third picture) and on the left is lawn and a view of the whole LA area.

Ok, I should have put these in a different order but oh well. We took several pictures of some of the artwork, but the internet will probably poop out if I try to put them all up so here is what we thought was the most amazingly intricate. The whole painting was about 16" x 20" and this was just a small flower in the corner. It's a little blurry, but if you look close all the lines and veins and colors on the petals are single brushstrokes. The whole painting was like that; it was crazy.

This is the floating shrubbery. We were standing on a little bridge over a kind of stream that poured over the stones. It wasn't really a waterfall, just one of those cascading water effects were you can still see the stones behind.

This is a view of a good portion of the museum. To the right is the LA view and there are more buildings behind and to the left of us.
It's a cool place to look around. And I learned something new about Matt. He likes cool doors, like old, thick, studded ones or clean, interesting doors. And they had some cool doors here. Haha. Enjoy!
